Baby Shower

Toni's work mates threw a baby shower for her this past Friday. Pretty good bounty to be had. One of the cooler things is that the shower had a theme, where each girl brought one of their favorite books from childhood. Needless to say, we're all set with Dr. Seuss and Sendak books. Meanwhile, I don't know what each of these items that she's washed are for and I've been asked to put them in the nursery in a logical order. Huh?

So, Toni and I "interviewed" a pediatrician yesterday. We received a referral from a friend that said this guy was solid and a straight-shooter. It seemed a little odd, though. The kid's not even born yet. Heck, I don't even have a doctor. Toni and I got to the office just before our 5 o'clock appointment, which, it turns out, was 30 minutes before we really needed to be there. After a little while she turned to me and asked "Do you have any questions for the Doctor?" Nope. Are we already negligent parents? The Doc said he actually preferred no questions and went through his standard spiel. Solid and a straight-shooter - buddy was right. We'll take him.

Cankles

Toni is complaining of cankles (definition: no noticeable transition between calf and ankle) due to the pregnancy. Since she's still not allowing photos, I thought this one would make due. Still looking for the camera cord......
